SYNOPSIS
Sleepless dibintangi Foxx sebagai polisi Las Vegas bernama Vincent Downs yang menyamar dan tersangkut dalam jaringan polisi korup dan kasino bawah tanah yang dikelola oleh mafia. Ketika sebuah aksi pencurian mengalami kekacauan, sekelompok gangster yang tak segan membunuhi orang menculik putra Downs yang masih remaja. Dalam satu malam ini, Downs harus menyelamatkan putranya, mengelak dari penyelidikan bagian internal polisi, dan membekuk para penculik tersebut.
Sleepless stars Foxx as undercover Las Vegas police officer Vincent Downs, who is caught in a high stakes web of corrupt cops and the mob-controlled casino underground. When a heist goes wrong, a crew of homicidal gangsters kidnaps Downs’ teenage son. In one sleepless night he will have to rescue his son, evade an internal affairs investigation and bring the kidnappers to justice.

Second remake of French’s Nuit Blanche, Sleepless doesn’t stand as strong as the source and Tamil’s Thoongaa Vanam. Few good actions and that’s it. Rating: ★★
Filled with generic good cop-bad cop plot, unlikeable characters–especially Jamie Foxx’s, and a script that tried too hard to look cool, Sleepless seems to rely heavily on its non-stop action sequence to make it a worthwhile trip to the cinema, which unfortunately didn’t do much. Rating: ★★1/2
Sleepless nggak bikin sleep tapi nggak bikin semangat juga. Untung aja kelahinya cukup kece. Sleepless ini sebenarnya punya hal-hal menarik yangg bisa dieksplor seandainya ia episode pilot sebuah crime TV series. Tapi ini ‘kan bukan. Rating: ★★
